Very cool old bank building, so the setting is historical with an excellent restored mural on the ceiling and they made the old bank vault a tasting room. Excellent food and delicious craft cocktails made with their own distilled liquor in house. Great atmosphere. Will come again whenever I am in town.

My friends and I decided to check out the new Exchange restaurant in Oil City yesterday morning for brunch. The shrimp and grits were probably the best I’ve ever had. We had the best experience thanks to our waitress Alana. From the moment we sat down, she was welcoming and incredibly attentive. She checked on us at just the right times, gave excellent menu recommendations, and made sure everything came out perfectly. Our drinks were always full, and she even noticed the little details before we had to ask. Alana had such a positive, friendly energy and made us feel like valued guests rather than just another table. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care made this one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. She’s hands down the best server I’ve ever had, and I’ll definitely be asking for her every time I come back!

Exchange is one of those rare places that manages to honor its history while feeling fresh and modern. Housed in a beautifully renovated old bank, the restaurant still carries hints of its past with vaulted ceilings, rich architectural details, and a sense of character that you just can’t create from scratch. The result is a very cool, inviting atmosphere that feels both upscale and comfortable. The food is outstanding: flavorful, thoughtfully prepared, and clearly crafted with care. Every dish feels like a step above the usual, and the drinks are just as impressive. They were delicious and perfect for pairing with the meal or enjoying on their own. Our server, Lily, was wonderful. Warm, friendly, and attentive, she made the experience even better with her easygoing personality and great recommendations. Exchange isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a vibrant part of the community. Whether you’re stopping in for dinner, celebrating an occasion, or just grabbing a drink, it’s the kind of place that makes you glad it’s in town. Highly recommend!

It’s such a great thing to see this building bringing something new to Oil City, after decades of sitting unused. You can tell the building was lovingly renovated, honoring the history of the original 1920s bank. The restaurant has an upscale, yet comfortable vibe, and the food and drinks are great! Service was very friendly. It’s wonderful to see something like this come to OC. I’ll be back again!

Found this lovely place by accident on a Sunday afternoon while antiquing with my sister and brother in law and boy are we glad we found it! I live in Butler but frequent the Franklin and Oil City area for shopping and antiquing. The Exchange is a one of a kind really cool place to eat and drink. We loved everything from the beer to the food, and the wonderful staff. Jeff, Lindsey, Tessa and Lily were very pleasant, funny and accommodating. We learned about the history of the place and the service was excellent! Jetlag beer is amazing. Fries and sandwiches are delicious. We can't wait to go back and plan to make it part of our monthly place to eat. It's well worth the drive. Give it a try you definitely wont be disappointed. Don't forget to buy a T-shirt if you go

Stopped in while at camp for archery season with my cousin from VA. From what I’ve read online it was a must try. Let me tell you… this place blew me away. The food is absolutely top-notch. I will be back to try everything on the menu. Next time, it’s the Muffaletta and beignets. We even got to meet Jeff, the owner, and you can tell he genuinely cares about what he’s building here, and the people he serves. The drink options are also top-notch, beer selection and mixed drinks from a 5 star brew/restaurant. The atmosphere is warm, stylish, and comfortable. Just stunning in the old bank with the vault and all. It’s one of those places you walk into and instantly feel good. Service was excellent too… friendly, attentive, and on point without being overbearing. If you’re anywhere near Oil City or plan a road trip, this is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back.

I was reluctant about going because of the Cajun twist, how ever it turned out to be amazing. The frog legs were small but full flavor, we tried it plain. The smoked wings in buffalo flavor were amazing. I would order those as meal they were packed full of flavor. The smash burger was two patties with lettuce, tomato, crispy onions, added bacon and cheddar cheese with a pickle on top. The shrimp and grits with peppers and onions some of the best I have ever tasted. I was looking forward to the catfish but they ran out, so pulled pork po boy with coleslaw on a bun was so tasty. Enjoyed the old fashion, and the getaway driver. The elderflower seltzer is mild and refreshing. And the jet lag relief pale ale is a popular choice making you want to take some home. Side hustle is located in a time capsule with so much history and Jeff was enthusiastic about sharing the history.
